Together with the technology partner citiesapps, the highest possible level of accessibility for the website www.fuerstenfeld.gv.at is being pursued. The implementation is based on the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1” as well as the best-practice recommendations of the W3C WAI-ARIA Task Force. The website is designed to comply with the applicable legal provisions. This includes the Accessibility Act (BaFG). Through this Act, the European Accessibility Directive RL (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility requirements for products and services (EEA) was implemented and has been applicable since 28 June 2025.

Technical Issues on the Website

The submenu is dynamically displayed on the same page from which it is accessed. As a result, elements such as the page title and the page position indicator remain unchanged.

The following issues are known:

• Screen reader users do not receive any information about the changed content of the accessed webpage.

Work on resolving these issues is ongoing. A specific timeline for implementing the improvements is currently being developed and will be announced in future versions of this statement.

External Content

Some content on the website, including events, posts, and articles, is sourced from and provided by the cities platform citiesapps.com. In addition, our website contains documents and forms from other organizations that are outside our sphere of influence. This content is created and managed by third parties.

In accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102, this content is exempt from accessibility requirements, as no statement can be made regarding the level of accessibility of third-party content.

PDF Documents

The PDF documents available on the website are mostly not accessible. They often lack the necessary tags, bookmarks, or logical structure that would enable users of assistive technologies to navigate and understand the content. We are working to gradually update these documents and provide accessible versions.

Disproportionate Burden

Our videos are hosted and published on the video platform YouTube. For some of these videos, it is not possible to provide the required audio descriptions. Providing such audio descriptions would constitute a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the accessibility regulations due to the resources required and technical limitations.
